The Financial Planning Process

 

Following a methodical process helps to make sure that we are doing everything possible to help you move toward your "preferred future." Here’s our process:

 

  • Step 1: Get Acquainted Meeting – This is an opportunity for us to meet with you in person to discuss your needs and our services in more detail. Then we'll decide together whether we are a good resource for you.  We will also be able to provide an estimate of the cost of our services. There is no cost to you for this Get-Acquainted meeting.

 

  • Step 2: Data Gathering – You gather some financial information and complete a questionnaire regarding your goals, assets, etc. (Some clients ask to do this before Step 1 in order to be prepared for Step 3.)

 

  • Step 3: Interactive Goal Setting Meeting – We meet to clarify your information and, most importantly, help to establish your goals.

 

  • Step 4: Analysis and Plan Formation – We review the data, perform various analyses, and develop a list of Recommendations and Discussion items.

 

  • Step 5: Plan Presentation – We present your written financial plan to you and chart your progress toward your goals. We also discuss ways to more efficiently meet those goals.

 

  • Step 6: Plan Implementation and Follow Up – We help, as you see fit, to implement your financial plan. Our firm may be able to help you with some of the needs (ex: investments and/or insurance). We may also work with your other financial advisors.
